Hello,

Yes, you seem too be missing a few things. This is my ldap.conf file: 

BASE         dc=domain, dc=com
URI          ldaps://server.domain.com:636/
TLS_CACERT /etc/ldap/cert/cacert.pem
TLS_REQCERT  demand

You could try to do a ldapsearch afterwards on some data to see if the
connection works., use -d to debug.
