Well, I've done a lot of testing for MIT on those libraries, and MIT kerberos libs still are not as fast as the Heimdal ones. There is also the added bit now that you would have to disable the mutex locks in Cyrus-SASL for MIT builds to even test this. In addition, to get any sort of speed from the MIT libraries, you have to disable the replay cache.
