please note that attribute type definition of entryCSN has the flags
* NO-USER-MODIFICATION
* USAGE directoryOperation

I am no OpenLDAP developper, but it might be intentional that there is no 
documentation of its format since it is an internat attribute of the 
directory that users shall not deal with.
Perhaps its format may change someday without notice.
