Re: dc's in the suffix and adding the node to the tree
Kamesh Patel writes:
Hello,
I have recently installed openldap 2.0.21 and i think i may have found a
small problem.
My suffix for the ldap server is
suffix "o=companyname,dc=co,dc=uk"
when adding the node to the ldap tree as follows:
dn: o=comapnyname, dc=co,dc=uk
objectclass: dcObject
objectclass: organization
o: companyname
dc: co
dc: uk
You need to add only the leftmost "dc" value; in fact
"dc" means "domain component", so "co" is the component
of "co.uk" you're assigning to the entry.
