I have heard a lot of incompatibilities between 1.2.x series and 2.0.x
series.  Basically, I have read that migration is a nightmare.  This would
make me go towards 2.0.x if I didn't 1.2.x already.  1.2.x has been rock
solid for us though, so if you are having problems with 2.0.x, go with
1.2.x.  If you are not, stick with the 2.0.x

Confusing enough? =)
