Some variables cannot be sorted (e.g. DBDIR1 is set from DBDIR1A),
and some variables are grouped logically within a section (e.g.
P*SRSLAVECONF next to R*SRSLAVECONF), but for the most part I think
it was originally to small for it to matter and then just grew.
