OpenLDAP / bind9 sdb extant?

Bind 9.1 (released a couple weeks ago) features sdb,
an API stub for the database storage component. See:

It includes header files and example code for SQL and
Tcl backends. Is anyone planning on an OpenLDAP driver
for this? I think it would be a great idea. It would
allow fully dynamic updates, nice interfaces,
delegated administration, etc.

Anyone else interested in this?
