new CORBA backend, your input requested

Hi folks,

I've just started the development a new generic backend, a
CORBA backend. I'm working on the IDL definitions for the backend server
interface right. Since I don't want to reinvent the wheel,  has anyone
already worked on an IDL definition for LDAP (and backends in
particular). Any input is welcome! Other suggestions concerning a
CORBA backend will be appreciated too.
