These logs are useless. Apparently your slapd is a libtool wrapper shell 
script, all you traced here was /bin/sh.

As for ldapadd returning 68, that's pretty hard to believe assuming the 
testrun directory has just been deleted/recreated... Anyway, all the 
tests pass here, so there's still nothing to go on.
