Re: slapd not logging to syslog (ITS#3331)
I appologize for the direct email, but don't believe I could
update the openldap issue tracking record, and didn't want to
open an additional problem.
I too have the same syslog issue with 2.2.17.
Today I found that removing the -l option completely from the init
script, even if it specified LOCAL4, openldap 2.2.17 would
happily return to logging to the LOCAL4 file as specified in the
syslog.conf file.
btw. this was also a RHEL3.0 build (actually Centos 3 update 3 )
