OpenLDAP backup best practices

Hi there. 

I have a setup of two servers in mirror mode. 

What is the best policy for backup. 

Currently i am dumping the DIT using slapcat every midnight. 

Is there another way to be able to take more frequent backups? 

Is there an incremental backup feature?
