See slapd-sql(5) on the backend limitations and the appropriate odbc
documentation.
In fact replication between back-{hdb|mdb} and back-sql is not
recommended. Depending on your requirements you may think of including
back-sql as subordinate database and replicate by means of the
sql-database specific procedures, and only replicate back-{hdb|mdb} by
syncrepl.
