I've filed Incoming/7231, and dumped the broken config+dit at http://den.bofh.ca/~hume/ldap_missing_results.tar.gz.

In a completely unrelated note, Incoming/6136 was filed in 2009, but I've seen identical behaviour with 2.4.29. I haven't had a chance to try to reproduce it with RE24.
