In addition to what Jonathon notes, I've been a system administrator for 
years.  And as a System administrator with years of experience, who has run 
LDAP servers for nearly a decade, I will tell you that you are very, very 
wrong, and very specifically that relying on distro provided builds of an 
LDAP server is a very fatal mistake.
