thanks a lot, I was successfull now with:
database relay
suffix "dc=thunderbird,dc=net"
overlay rwm
rwm-suffixmassage "dc=original,dc=net"
rwm-map attribute mozillaNickname displayName

Next step is then to find the right mapping.
