ldap_bind error

When i use this command;

 /usr/bin/ldapadd -x -D 'uid=root,dc=fedora,dc=directory,dc=server' -W -f /tmp/domain.ldif

after entering the LDAP password i get this error: ldap_bind cannot contact ldap server.

Any help or guideline will be appreciated.
