Technically, "syncrepl" is the configuration directive, and everything 
else is that directive's parameter. So you could write:

"syncrepl rid=123 provider=ldap://...";

But that's going to get long/unwieldy. So slapd.conf(5) documents a line 
continuation mechanism:

> If a line begins with white space, it is considered a continuation of 
> the previous line. No physical line should be over 2000 bytes long.

You are not using this construct, and should be in this case.
