If by "stable" you mean that your configuration is core dumping, I'd get a
symbolic backtrace (see the OpenLDAP FAQ-O-Matic) and file an ITS at
www.openldap.org/its. If you're seeing intermittent desired results, the
ITS is probably the right place too.
