Hmm, if you're talking about the documentation (OpenLDAP Admin Guide), I'd mention the fact that one needs to run db_recover after an unclean shutdown (power outage).

And an example init.d script could be located in OpenLDAP source package - this way, distributors (Debian, RedHat, Mandriva etc.) would pay greater attention to that fact.
