Even if you were running 2.3.24:

It sounds like you're experiencing data loss on a non-ACID data store.
Since your backend isn't designed to resist corruption, it appears that
everything is working to spec. Since "to spec" doesn't seem to meet your
needs, I'd suggest you evaluate a technology such as back-hdb that might
better meet your requirements and expectations.
