I found no usable attachment.
the very old openldap packaging wasn't supplied by Red Hat and obviously
had someone else's vision for installing and running as user, and I
seriously doubt that it's worth the effort to make working at this
stage.
If you are looking to make a working openldap server, you should
probably just forget that ancient stuff and work on setting up current
openldap/db4/openssl/kerberos/cyrus-sasl as outlined on Quanah's
information page...

ps - yes, it would make sense to create a user/group ldap and have the
slapd server run as that user
