Schemacheck off ignored
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello,
I upgraded to a recent release of openldap 2.2 and my configuration doesn't work anymore
as the "schemacheck off" option seems to have been removed:
/etc/openldap/slapd.conf: line 26: schema checking cannot be diabled, option ignored!
I use Openldap on over three thousand of servers (http://www.slis.fr) and I have a big
problem with this option: some other servers are using the ldap directories and thez add
supplementary attributes to entries independently of the attributes I manage in my
schemas. If I use "schemacheck on", I will have to manage schemas for the terce
administrators that are using my directory.
I've found not explanation about this change. I also noticed that there are no mention of
this change nowhere... just some little indices into the CVS:
http://www.openldap.org/devel/cvsweb.cgi/Attic/CHANGES.diff?r1=1.5.6.217&r2=1.5.6.218&hideattic=1&sortbydate=0&f=h
http://www.openldap.org/devel/cvsweb.cgi/servers/slapd/config.c.diff?r1=1.228.2.25&r2=1.228.2.26&hideattic=1&sortbydate=0&f=h
"ignore "schemacheck off" (with warning)"
Can someone tell me who decided to remove this option, why and what to do now?
Thanks in advance
