loading schema files

How can I verify that schema are loading properly? I am trying to assign a specific objectClass from a 3rd party schema which keeps being refused. When I browse the available objectClasses, it does not show up.

The schema in question is definitely listed as included in the slapd.conf and I have verified its contents and the objectClass in question is contained therein.
