Hi All,
I am currently using slurpd replication where the slave and the master are in different subnets, only network traffic from the master to the slave being allowed.
I am considering replacing slurpd replication with syncrepl when migrating from OL 2.2.x to OL 2.3.x.
According to the syncrepl documentation syncrepl uses a consumer-initiated protocol. Does it mean that network traffic from the consumer to provider needs to be allowed?
Yes, absolutely.
