Create entry with default value.

Again, I think what I want to do can't be done. Please confirm.

I'd like to permit a user create a child, but I'd like to let him to
insert some fields, and some other come by default.

For example, imagine a field "is_root". I'd like to permit a user to
create a child choosing its name, password, but I'd like the field
"is_root" to be created with "no" by default, unless a privileged user
change it.

I've searched faq's and manuals, and found nothing about this... So I
think it can't be done. But it would be great if someone could confirm it.

Is there an option to create entries with default values?
