As far as I can tell, this feature was present in 2.1 as well (it is in
2.1.30, and I don't see any announcement throughout the CHANGES).  I'm not
sure about 2.0 (I don't think so).  Anyway, it's not an issue since way
before 2.1 was deprecated.
