See the "filter" parameter to syncrepl in Admin Guide
<http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin22/syncrepl.html>.
Thanks, I didn't know this stuff existed. By reading it, it seems that
it is always the slave server contacting the master server, even if
pushing is used for replication. Is this correct?
Since master and slave servers in my installation will be separated with
firewall, I'd really like to punch only one-way holes master->slave for
replication if at all possible. Basically, this was the main reason for
setting up the slave server in that segment of network, to not have any
connectivity from slave's network segment to master's network segment
(only the other way around).
Is there a way to configure master server for syncrepl so that it always
connects and pushes the changes to predefined list of slaves (instead of
waiting for slaves to ask for information to be pushed)?
