Why not just 'chkconfig ldap on' ? It achieves the same ...

It should be the first (only 5 mins).

IMHO, if the necessity for this can't be determined, db_recover should
be run before slapd is started.

On Mandrakelinux we do this (run db_recover for all BDB databases
defined in slapd.conf during "start", but not during "restart").
