sorry, that was to fast: 

the setting should be
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.3/lib
(not LD_LIBRARY_PATH=usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.3/lib, I omitted a slash before)
