ldapadd and slapcat discrepencies

  I've gone through as much googling as I can handle in 2 days. Still, I can
not resolve this most annoying problem. I've tried everything shy of
re-installing. I have to be missing something. The ldif is from SourceForge
software(generated from PostgreSQL data) and is dumped directly into ldap. I
turned on verbose mode and verified that it is, indeed, adding the new
entries I'm looking for. Even with slapd and nscd reloaded, slapcat returns
the old DB. What should I be checking? I do know that changes to existing
entries propegate properly and slapcat shows them. For those who are
familiar with SF, it's the mailing list objects that are not being
entered/updated.
