thanks for your suggestion: i have enalbed logging, setting it to 256,
is it enough?
All files are owned by root that is also the user which runs slapd.

You can easily tell by enabling logging and checking the logs.
| Same behaviour when I try to delete an existing entry.
Most likely the user running slapd doesn't have permissions to write to
the database files or create transaction logs.
