Hi James,
I am familiar with MRTG and currently use it to monitor various servers such
as printers and servers. How do you configure the mrtg to be able to
communicate with the openldap server since the mrtg uses snmp? I wasn't
under the impression that openldap communicates over snmp. If you have any
sample mrtg files, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi,
We are using OpenLDAP 2.2.13 and successfully monitor the backend with
MRTG graphs. There is much more you can do, we just havn't gotten
around to it. If you need pointers. Let me know!
Cheers,
James

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to find a good utility to generate statistics for a openldap
server. I have been doing some reading and found there is a built-in
monitor in openldap, however I have not been able to successfully search
it.
Is there configuration that needs to take place for the monitor or does
it
happen automatically? In addition, how do I query it to generate stats?
If anyone is using another utility that gives them excellent results,
please
include that as well
