If it is a bug, it won't be fixed in the 2.1 tree, as that is no longer 
under development.  You would need to upgrade to the OpenLDAP 2.2 branch 
(most likely 2.2.18) and try there.  Note that 2.1->2.2 upgrades are not 
trivial, but are easier than 2.0->2.1 upgrades.
