A general LDAP list already exists: ldap@umich.edu.
Unfortunately it is set up strangely, so you receive half a dozen
vacation messages or even bounce messages (for messages that do reach
the list) for each message you send.  Maybe OpenLDAP could take over
that list, like they took over the rest of Umich LDAP?

Or maybe it's about time to create a newsgroup comp.infosystems.ldap
or something?
