And I also missed the part where he said "This must be a bug that was
fixed in openldap-2.2".
But, the failure to initialise a mutex in his logs (with error "function
not implemented") on DBenvopen() did hint that it was a mutex issue in
BerkeleyDB. And the fact that the setup worked on other machines
indicated a hardware-dependant issue ...
