Re: Newbie search question - Help!



Note that uniqueMember does not have a string syntax and hence
any substrings assertion is Undefined (and hence attempting to
do substrings indexing is nonsense).  Likewise for all attributes
of syntaxes which are not strings (DN, certificate, integer,
boolean, etc.)

Remember, in LDAP/X.500, values are matched in abstract terms,
not in representation terms.
