Openldap & 3com Switch 4400

Good morning!!

I think to implement a server of Radius Microsoft within my
network, this worked through of a Switch 3com 4400, I want that
my UNIX equipment is auntentiquen in the network of independent form
to those of Microsoft which used radius... My proposal is that the
UNIX systems are authenticated by means of OpenLdap, but they ask to
me if this is possible to make without problems with the Switch 3com,
since openldap must from accesar to a port I specify of the port to do
autentication following the IEEE 802.1x

Can be done this?
