It's a copy slurpd does when processing the replication log file.

Seems you are quite close to get it working. One similar problem I had
once was related to slurpd's inability to process more than one replication
log file at a time. Are you using just one replogfile directive in slapd.conf?
slapd will happily create any replogfiles it needs to, but sluprd will only
process one (the first one it finds, I think). So, if you are using more
than one replogfile, maybe slurpd is processing the one which didn't receive
any changes.
