Hi,
I'm using OpenLDAP 2.2.13. When adding an entry with ldapadd, i'm geting an invalid syntax error:
"additional info: cn: value #0 invalid per syntax"
The entry is:
__________________________________________________________
dn: uid=dcegwww,ou=funcionarios,ou=staff,ou=users,dc=fe,dc=up,dc=pt
objectClass: account
objectClass: posixAccount
objectClass: top
objectClass: shadowAccount
uid: dcegwww
uidNumber: 5131
gidNumber: 15
cn: Grupo de Engenharia da Decisão e Controlo
__________________________________________________________
I know this error is in word "Decisão" in the cn atribute. Can't the cn atibute have a string with special chars like: ã õ ó à ??? This chars are very common in my langue. The strange part is that with an LDAP tool like LDAP Browser, i can change the cn atribute and insert the special chars, but with ldapadd using an LDIF file i can't, it reproduces the error presented.
What could be wrong?
Thanks,
Jorge Ruão
