Hi,
I am encountering a slow search when I search for something like
(&(objectclass=qmailuser)(cn=*))
but not if I use something like
(&(objectclass=qmailuser)(cn=abc*))
I use openLDAP 2.1.26, bdb 4.2.52 with the latest patches, on Debian Woody.
The tree has 600 entries, the dbd cache is large (>90% hits),
and the search times are approx:
cn=* 20 sec (result 600 entries)
cn=a* 10 sec (result about 1/26th of the total set)
cn=ab* 0,4 sec
cn=abc* 0,04 sec
The times are approx, but the order of difference is what I experience.
cn is indexed eq,pres,sub
Any idea why this happens!?
_Ace
