RE: search / add operations suddenly became hopelessly slow
Hi Alexei,
The most likely cause of the symptoms you are describing is that you have
not tuned the Berkeley DB. I suggest you read the Sleepycat documentation
(http://www.sleepycat.com) that describes how to do this. There is also some
excellent tuning information in the OpenLDAP FAQ-o-Matic:

Finally, Google is an excellent resource. The following search terms yield
