Thanks Quanah. Your message was exactly the kind of message that I would like
to receive on this list. It probably didn't take you much time, either.
I do not know that I changed anything in my build environment. It could be,
but I am unaware of it. I must tell you, that I don't have much experience in
compiling and I am only doing this because many posts on this list advices me
to do so. The only other program I ever compile are djb's programs, and they
all work without fail. And qmail-ldap, in which I need to do some minor
changes to a Makefile but then it compiles and installs flawless.
The last time I compiled, was with a 'fresh' db-4.2.52.NC.tgz
from http://www.sleepycat.com/download/patchlogsdb.shtml
I don't know what the problem is, but I don't care, I'm just happy now that I
know that I need to recomplie openldap everytime bdb get's changed or
upgraded, unless the next time I compile, the libs are shared again.
Thank you for your help,
Sincerely,
Ace
