I think the author thought that it would be obvious...
ldapsearch -x -b 'dc=example,dc=com' '(objectclass=*)'
should be
ldapsearch -x -b 'dc=bakerbates,dc=com' '(objectclass=*)'
and just to be on the safe side... I always toss in the hostspec
ldapsearch -x -h localhost -b 'dc=bakerbates,dc=com' '(objectclass=*)'
