your first step is run unix2dos program on all the *.dsp and the dsw file.
after that get your bdb zip file from www.sleepycat.com
then get your hs_regex files (search for it in google - no problems there)
load the main.dsw file to VC and build it

it will create a portable.h file (see it in the setup section in the projects tree)
you can tweak you settings there.
