Re: Help with "Naming Violation (64)"
Hello,

Apologies for the noise.
I've left the lines:
HOST 127.0.0.1
BASE dc=example,dc=com
in the ldap.conf file.
slapd.conf has:
suffix "dc=dfi,dc=state,dc=wi,dc=us"
rootdn "cn=Manager,dc=dfi,dc=state,dc=wi,dc=us"
base.ldif is:
dn: dc=dfi,dc=state,dc=wi,dc=us
objectclass: dcObject
objectclass: organization
dc: dfi.state.wi.us
o: State of Wisconsin
Attribute dc must have the same value as RDN.
This example should run
dn: dc=dfi,dc=state,dc=wi,dc=us
objectclass: dcObject
objectclass: organization
dc: dfi
o: State of Wisconsin
or
dn: dc=dfi.state.wi.us, dc=state,dc=wi,dc=us
objectclass: dcObject
objectclass: organization
dc: dfi.state.wi.us
o: State of Wisconsin
regards
Andreas
dn: cn=Manager,dc=dfi,dc=state,dc=wi,dc=us
objectclass: organizationalRole
cn: Manager
I've also tried dc: dc=dfi,dc=state,dc=wi,dc=us with no luck. Always
get that naming violation message. Any ideas?
