OK. Thanks for this advice. I tried setting up the users as you
suggested, however when I don't use the -x option on the command line I
still get the message
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such object
I have just come across another article on the web
athttp://www.sulug.sun.ac.za/docs/ldap/LDAP-Part2.html
and it seems to suggest that the Redhat rpm may have been compiled
without support for tls
I am leaving work soon, but will try compiling the source on my Mandrake
system at home to see if that gets rid of the problem.
