backend-perl concurrency

We are using perl backends in OpenLdap2-2.1.12-50.
We have backend-perl that makes search and other backend that makes add 
operation, e.g:

database               perl
suffix                    "ou=search"
perlModulePath      /path/to/file
perlModule            SampleLDAP

database               perl
suffix                    "ou=add"
perlModulePath      /path/to/file
perlModule            SampleLDAP

We want execute search and add perl methods at the same time (concurrently). 
Is it possible? Does Backend-perl support threads?

We view that the second backend-perl call waits for the first call ends.

Any idea?
