No, that is what happens having cyrus-sasl compiled in. You simply use GSSAPI as your method to connect using non-authenticated binds (-Y GSSAPI). Your server needs to have an ldap/FQDN@REALM principle (like ldap/ldap1.pericom.at@pericom.at) in its keytab. I'll send you more info once I'm in my office.
