- Thread-topic: other attribute to bind to the ldap server
hello all! I'm using
Exchange Server as the ldap server and using ldap utilities (such as ldapsearch,
etc) to connect to it. Is it possible to use another attribute besides the
cn=username, cn=users, dc=example, dc=com? I found out that the login name might
not be the same as cn. since this is stored in sAMAccoutName. could I use this
attribute to bind to the server? so far, I couldn't seem to be able to bind to
it? am i missing something?
thanks!
