No directory /home/users!

I probably need to ask this question in Linux mail list. I just
restarted my linux server and I cannot loign anymore. It says 'no
directory /home/users!' I change /etc/pam.d/system-auth back to default
setting and shutdown ldap server, and it's still not working. Where did
I go wrong? Or, how can I fix? Or, can anyone gives me linux mail list.
